Dr. Talbert has written another paper proposing an alternate reason for the symptoms that appear as those suggested to be non-accidental trauma in infants. He hypothesizes that “…venous hypertension, having a natural physiological etiology and not involving imposed trauma” is the true reason for the medical condition most often diagnosed as Shaken Baby Syndrome.
